Sight, reimagined.
Crown & Gavel is a small research company turning the darkest hours of the day into something you can see, share, and remember — using nothing but the phone already in your pocket.
Our mission
Night vision has been locked behind bulky, expensive analog hardware for seventy years. We think it should feel like any other camera mode: tap a button, see the world. Our on-device deep learning models reconstruct full-color daylight from photon-starved scenes in real time — on the phone, without the cloud.
Origins
Founded in Connecticut in 2025, Crown & Gavel began as a research program exploring whether neural networks could replace image-intensifier tubes for consumer devices. Within a year we shipped models running natively on Apple silicon at true video framerate. Today we are seed-funded and preparing for our first public iOS release in October 2026.
What we believe
- Great tools disappear. You should think about the moment, not the technology.
- On-device inference is a privacy stance, not just a technical choice.
- The next decade of imaging is neural, and it will happen on the devices we already own.
