When will the app be available?+
Crown & Gavel is targeting a public iOS release in October 2026. Waitlist members get invited to closed betas ahead of launch.
Which devices are supported?+
iPhone 14 Pro and newer at launch. Older Apple silicon devices may be added as we optimize the model.
Does the app work in complete darkness?+
The model needs a small number of photons — starlight, ambient city glow, or a nearby light source is usually enough. It is not a thermal imager.
Do you send my video to the cloud?+
No. All inference runs on-device using the Neural Engine. Video never leaves your phone.
How is battery use?+
Continuous use draws power similar to shooting 4K video. We recommend a topped-up battery for long night sessions.
