On-device inference is a privacy stance, not just a technical choice. This page explains what data we collect, what we don't, and how we handle it.

Your camera stays on your phone
All neural inference in the Crown & Gavel app runs on-device using Apple's Neural Engine. Camera frames, photos, and video are never uploaded to our servers or any third party as part of normal use.
What we collect
- Account info. If you sign in, we store the email you provide and an authentication token.
- Waitlist info. The email address you submit to join the waitlist.
- Diagnostic data. Aggregate, anonymized crash and performance metrics from the app, only if you opt in.
- Support correspondence. Messages you send us through the contact form.
What we do not collect
- Camera frames, photos, or video captured with the app.
- Precise location data.
- Contact lists, photo library metadata, or biometrics.
How we use data
We use the information above to operate the Services, respond to your messages, send waitlist updates you asked for, and improve the app based on anonymous diagnostics.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share limited information only with the vendors we use to run the Services (for example, email delivery and analytics), under contracts that require them to protect your data.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the waitlist at any time using the link in our emails, opt out of anonymous diagnostics in the app, and request deletion of your account by writing to us.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
